I’m a 40 something Aussie dad and model railroader from South East Queensland.
I am modelling a Queensland Railways Protolance HO scal layout in my garage. I grew up watching the Clyde diesels rumbling around my hometown of Warwick and have been forever fascinated by trains.
I’ve worked as a fettler for Hammersley Iron in Dampier and Tom Price in the late 90s, and also for Queensland Rail doing the concrete resleepering project for the Diesel powered tilt train from Rockhampton heading North.
I’ve modelled in other hobbies for years. Cars, tabletop wargaming and miniature painting, but until now a layout has only been a dream. Time to make something happen!
